Terms & Conditions

Effective May 26, 2026

Welcome to WovenWork. By accessing or using our application, mobile platform, or services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service and User Roles

WovenWork connects daily physical activity with charitable giving. Users may participate on the platform in one or both of the following capacities:

  • Athletes: Users who track or manually log physical fitness milestones to motivate or trigger charitable contributions.

  • Donors: Users who pledge financial contributions to 501(c)(3) charitable organizations based on the tracked performance of an Athlete.

Users may switch between or occupy both roles simultaneously under a single account interface.

2. Billing Mechanics, Real-Time Charging, and Fee Structure

  • Real-Time Workout Charges: Workout charges are created immediately at the time a workout is received. Each charge is calculated based on the Donor's designated pledge amount and remaining spending cap. The system records the full pledge amount if within the cap, the remaining difference for partial payments when reaching the cap, or zero ($0.00) if the cap has already been reached.

  • Fee Structure (Option A): By default, payment processing fees (PayPal) and the WovenWork operational platform fee are deducted directly from the Donor's designated pledge amount. The chosen charity receives the net remaining balance.

  • Fee Coverage Opt-In: Donors may voluntarily choose to check an opt-in toggle at onboarding or in their settings. By checking this box, the Donor provides standing authorization for WovenWork to calculate real-time transaction and platform fees for each charge and add them on top of the base donation amount, ensuring 100% of the base pledge reaches the charity.

3. Financial Controls: Spending Caps and Donor Modifications

To maintain absolute budget predictability, Donors must establish a maximum spending ceiling at onboarding (which can be modified later in settings).

  • Caps are evaluated dynamically in real-time upon receipt of each workout. When a new workout is received, the system calculates the appropriate charge (full amount, remaining difference up to the cap, or $0.00 if the cap is reached).

  • Cap Adjustments: If a Donor increases their spending cap, all existing past workout records remain untouched. If a Donor lowers their spending cap, the application displays a notification informing them that "this will apply to all workouts from this point on," along with a explicit warning that their next bill may still be as high as the previous amount depending on accrued activity.

  • Pledge Amount Adjustments: If a Donor modifies their pledge amount per workout, the application displays a message stating that "this will apply to all workouts from this point on."

  • Any overage activity tracked or logged past that ceiling will be permanently discarded and will not roll over to the subsequent month.

  • Donor Notifications: Donors receive real-time notifications for processed charges, cap adjustments, or reach thresholds via email or push notifications based on their account preferences.

4. Data Tracking, Accuracy, and User-Entered Data

  • Synced Telemetry: For automated tracking, WovenWork relies on integrations with third-party fitness applications (such as Strava or Apple HealthKit) via the Terra API. Real-time charges are executed based on incoming webhook events or synced data. WovenWork is not liable for third-party sync delays, drops, or outages.

  • User-Entered Data: If the Service allows manual activity logging, users explicitly promise and covenant that all entered data represents genuine, good-faith physical accomplishments. Intentionally falsifying metrics or manipulating data tracking inputs constitutes a material breach of these terms.

  • Disconnections: If an Athlete disconnects their tracking platform, tracking ceases immediately. Past activity completed during a disconnected state cannot be retroactively claimed or applied.

5. Refund Policy (All Sales Final)

Because funds are committed dynamically and routed directly to third-party 501(c)(3) charitable organizations via PayPal, all completed financial transactions are final. WovenWork cannot issue refunds or reversals for completed transactions due to tracking errors, user disputes, or device anomalies.

6. Acceptable Use and Content Integrity

Users are entirely responsible for the information, profile graphics, and team nomenclature they upload. You agree not to upload offensive, defamatory, or illicit content, or attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the platform architecture. WovenWork reserves absolute authority to suspend or terminate accounts in violation of this clause.

7. Early Phase Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

  • "As-Is" / Beta Service: Users acknowledge that the platform is operating in an early launch environment (Pilot/MVP). The service is provided on an "As-Is" and "As-Available" basis without warranties of any kind.

  • Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, WovenWork's maximum collective financial liability to any user for any system miscalculations, errors, or service interruptions shall be strictly capped at the total amount of platform fees actually retained by WovenWork from that specific user's transactions over the preceding six (6) months.
